Is the document sent to an OCR service?
No. Your browser downloads the engine and language models from our site, then processes the pages on your device. The content of the PDF is not sent online.
What languages and results are available?
TXT text is available in 13 languages and searchable PDF in 12; Hebrew is available only as TXT. You can also choose two languages: if either is Hebrew, the format remains TXT. The document language is independent of the site language. The result includes only the selected pages.
Can I create a searchable PDF in Hebrew?
Hebrew OCR is available as TXT. Searchable PDF output is temporarily unavailable because of text-order limitations.
Is recognition always correct?
No. Blurred images, tables, small print, and handwriting can produce errors. Check names and numbers. Processing may take a few minutes and stops after five minutes.
